If Ice continues to melt what would be the outcome?

In this site it explains how sea levels are going to double in this century according to the Florida State University researcher. And it references every thing at the bottom of the page.
This article explains how much damage would occur in New York and surrounding states if sea level keeps going up. New York could experience harsh hurricanes that would ruin everything.

At the bottom of the site they say their references and also put phone numbers in case you want to call for more information.
Global sea level and the Earth's climate are closely linked. As the climate has warmed following the end of a recent cold period known as the "Little Ice Age" in the 19th century, sea level has been rising about 1 to 2 millimeters per year due to the reduction in volume of ice caps, ice fields, and mountain glaciers in addition to the thermal expansion of ocean water. If this continues, many of the world's mountain glaciers will disappear. Most of the current global land ice mass is located in the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets (table 1). Complete melting of these ice sheets could lead to a sea-level rise of about 80 meters, whereas melting of all other glaciers could lead to a sea-level rise of only one-half meter.

Sea level rise can be defined as an increase in sea level caused by global warming through two main processes: the thermal expansion of sea water and the rapid melting of land ice. A third of the world’s population living within 50 km of the coasts and a large percentage of them live much closer to the shoreline. Even a modest sea level rise could inundate low-lying regions, accelerate coastal erosion and force the relocation of communities and infrastructures.
I believe that if we continue to not change our ways that the sea levels are going to go up and take the homes of endless people because there are so many sites that say the exact same thing and it looks like they do their research and know what they are talking about.
